A Note About Using Shared Devices

If you must use a shared or public device to create your account or to log in, there are a few things to keep in mind.

  • Ensure that the previous user has logged out.

  • Clear the cache before beginning your session.

  • Use a private or incognito window.

  • Be sure to log out when you are finished.

Creating an Account

As an international applicant, you can begin the process of creating an account from the post-secondary institution’s website or on the Ontario Colleges website. This article describes how you create an account and log in from the Ontario Colleges website.

IMPORTANT: If you already have an account, do not create another one. Log in and start an application.

To create an account:

In the banner of the Ontario Colleges website, the Apply/Log In button is outlined in red.

  • On the International Applicants card, select Apply/Log In.

On the Apply Now page, in the International Applicants card, Apply/Log In Now is outlined in red.

  • On the Apply Now page, locate the institution you want to attend and select the corresponding Apply/Log In button.

  • Follow the instructions on the website. In most cases, you will be directed to the OCAS International Application Service (IAS) Applicant Portal.

The Sign in dialogue box opens.

You can use either your Google account or a different email address to create and log into your account.

Create an account using your Google email

  • In the Sign in dialogue box, select Continue with Google.

  • Enter your Google email address and select Next.

  • Enter your Google password and select Next.

  • The Complete Registration page opens and displays the name from your Google account. If required, update your first and last name to match the name on your legal documents.

Note: You can add your middle name and preferred names later in the application process.

Create an account using your email address

  • In the Sign in dialogue box, select Create an account.

  • On the New User page, in the Account Details section, enter your Legal name and a valid email address. You will be able to add your middle name and preferred names later in the application process.

IMPORTANT: Make sure that you complete this information carefully. You cannot change your first name or last name once the account is created.

Complete the Account Creation Process

  • In the Security Questions section, choose the questions from the list or create your own. Make sure you choose questions and answers that you'll remember later. We use this information to verify your identity if you contact us for help.

  • Select the OCAS Privacy Policy link to read the privacy statement; then select the Personal Information Privacy statement check box.

  • Select Create. You will receive an account activation email message. It will be sent to the address that you used when you created the account.

Note: The activation link is only valid for 24 hours.

  • Follow the instructions in the activation email message to activate your new account.

Logging in to the Applicant Portal

Follow these steps to sign into an existing account:

  • Go to the login page on the post-secondary institution’s international website or go to the Ontario Colleges website, locate the institution that you applied to, and select the corresponding Apply /Log In link.

You can choose how you want to sign into your Ontario Colleges application. Choose one of the following options:

Log In Using Your Google Account

If you already have an account, complete the following steps.

  • In the Sign in dialogue box, select Continue with Google.

  • Enter the email address for your Google account and select Next.

  • Enter your Google account password and select Next.

Log In Using Your Email Address

If you already have an account, complete the following steps.

  • In the Sign in dialogue box, enter the email address you used to create your account; then select Next.

  • Enter your password and select Next.

Your Profile page opens.
