Creating an Account and Logging In

Creating an Account

As an international applicant, you can begin the process of creating an account from the post-secondary institution’s website or on ontariocolleges.ca. This article describes how you create an account and log in from ontariocolleges.ca.

IMPORTANT: If you already have an account, do not create another one. Log in and start an application.

To create an account:

On the home page of ontariocolleges.ca, Apply Now is outlined in red.

  • On the International Applicants card, select Apply Now.

On the Apply Now page, in the International Applicants card on the right, Apply Now is circled in red.

  • On the Apply Now page, locate the institution you want to attend and select the corresponding Apply button. The corresponding website opens.

  • Follow the instructions on the website. In most cases, you will be directed to the OCAS International Application Service (IAS) Applicant Portal.

  • In the sign-in dialogue box, select Sign up.

In the Sign Up dialog box, the Sign up link is circled in red.

  • On the New User page, in the Account Details section, enter your Legal name and a valid email address. You will be able to add your middle name and preferred names later in the application process.

IMPORTANT: Make sure that you complete this information carefully. You cannot change your first name or last name once the account is created.

  • Create and confirm the password for your account.

  • In the Security Questions section, choose the questions from the list or create your own. Make sure you choose questions and answers that you'll remember later. We use this information to verify your identity if you contact us for help.
  • Select the OCAS Privacy Policy link to read the privacy statement; then select the Personal Information Privacy statement check box.
  • Select Create. You will receive an account activation email message. It will be sent to the address that you used when you created the account.

Note: The activation link is only valid for 24 hours.

  • Follow the instructions in the activation email message to activate your new account.

Logging in to the Applicant Portal

Follow these steps to sign into an existing account:

  • Go to the login page on the post-secondary institution’s international website or go to ontariocolleges.ca, locate the institution that you applied to, and select the corresponding Log In link.

  • Enter the email address and password that you used to create your account.

  • Select Sign in.

In the Sign in dialog box, the Sign in link at the bottom is circled in red.
