# Closing an Application

There could be a time when you do not want to continue with an existing application and want to close it. Here is an example:

- You have an existing application and want to create a new one.

To close an existing application, you must send your request by email to [the institution’s International department](https://www.ontariocolleges.ca/en/contact-the-colleges). Be sure to include the application number.
