Linking Your Account to Your OSAP Application

If you’re applying for OSAP funding to help pay for your education, you can link your OCAS account to your OSAP application.

Direct Linking Process

If you have not already applied for OSAP, after you complete your OCAS application, pay the application fee, and have reached the payment confirmation page, you can start an OSAP application and link it to your OCAS account.

• At the bottom of the payment confirmation page, select the green OSAP banner.

• On the OSAP landing page, under “New to OSAP?”, select Register.

• On the OSAP New User Registration page, in the Ontario College Application Service (OCAS) section, select Yes.

• As you continue with the OSAP registration process, some fields are prefilled with data from your OCAS account. For example, your name, Ontario Education Number (OEN), email address, and permanent address.

You can update the profile information, as required. However, once you profile is confirmed, it is locked and cannot be updated.

Alternate Linking Process

If you register for OSAP directly from the OSAP website, you can still link to your OCAS account.

• On the New User Registration - Agreement page, review the information, select the check box, and select Next.

The New User Registration - Link to college page opens.

• Select Yes.

• Enter your 12-digit account number and your date of birth. You can find your account number by selecting “Welcome [your name]” in the application banner.

• Select Link.

Tip: You can set up the link between your OCAS account and OSAP application when you first register, or you can do that any time.

View the Link Page

The View version of the link page displays the date and status of OCAS or OUAC links.

• In the top navigation bar, open the OSAP account drop-down menu and select Link to college & university applications.

• On the Link to college page, you can review or remove links.

Note: When you remove a link, future OSAP applications are not pre-filled with data from your OCAS account; however, existing OSAP applications remain linked to your OCAS account.
