Monitoring Your Application

Article summary

After you submit an application, it’s important to periodically check for any updates, particularly if you are waiting for an offer of admission.

There are several ways that you can monitor the status of your application:

  • Log into your student portal account with each college that you’ve applied to.

Each college that you applied to will send an email with the login details for your student portal account.

  • Log into your ontariocolleges.ca account and check for any updates.

  • Check your email for any important messages from the colleges regarding your application.

When you log into your ontariocolleges.ca account, the ‘Your Dashboard’ screen opens and any new messages, documents, or offers are displayed.

In the example applicant’s dashboard, there are four new messages, visible on the right.

On the Dashboard, on the 2024 - 2025 Application card, the Transcript Summary shows that 5 were requested and 5 are in progress. On the Messages card, there are 4 new messages in the list.

Have my transcript requests been processed?

You can easily check the status of the transcript requests on Your Dashboard.

  • To see the detailed status of the transcript requests, on the Application card, select Review Transcripts.

The status of each online request is listed in the Requested Online Transcripts section of the page.

  • To see the transcripts that have been processed, select View Received Documents.

The transcripts are listed on the ‘Your Documents and Transcripts’ page.

Tip: You can also open the Your Documents and Transcripts page by selecting Docs in the toolbar.

Exceptions

The Transcript Summary section on the dashboard includes only those Ontario transcripts that you requested via the application and that were submitted to us electronically (through our eTMS).

Transcripts that were submitted in the following situations are not included:

  • If you studied outside of Ontario, or if your transcripts were sent to us by mail or email as PDF files.

  • If you are currently attending high school, the Transcript Summary will display “0”. You can check the Docs page to confirm that we have received your transcripts.

How do I know if my information was sent to the colleges?

You might wonder if your application and personal information were sent to colleges. You can quickly find out by looking at the activity history.

  • On Your Dashboard, on the toolbar, select College Sync.

The Activity History page shows the colleges that you applied to. In the following example, each card indicates that the information is scheduled to be sent on April 7, 2024.

In the example Activity History, both applications are scheduled to be sent on April 7, 2024.

  • To view the details for a specific college transmission, select the corresponding View Details.

Note: Some documents may have a status of “Not required to send.” Colleges determine which documents must be submitted via the data transmission process. Colleges are able to view all documents, regardless of how they were submitted to your account.

  • To return to the main Activity History page, select Back.
